| Member's Code of Ethics
The National Wolfdog Alliance Membership Committee reserves the right to refuse a membership or to revoke a membership for any of the following causes:
- Any animal cruelty or neglect conviction.
- Conflict of interest (an applicant or a member who is involved in activities that directly conflict with the policies of the NWA).
- The Membership Committee deems an applicant or current member to be potentially detrimental to the NWA, its' membership, or the responsible care and management of wolfdogs. Past history and actions may be taken into consideration.
- The refusal to abide by the Bylaws, Principles, Directives, and Policies of the NWA.
As a Member of the National Wolfdog Alliance, I will represent myself in an ethical manner:
- I will respect the privacy of the other members of NWA.
- All personal information obtained about individuals or their animals through a member's participation in the NWA or its membership forum is to be considered confidential and is not to be distributed in any manner or form.
- I will not publicly condemn, demean, or devalue another member or their reputation.
It is further agreed if I own animals:
- To the best of my knowledge & ability, I will represent my animals by their correct lineage and temperament.
- If I breed my animals, I agree not to use the Organization's name in any form of advertising for any kennel, commercial or private enterprises.
- I will provide humane care for my animals at all times.
- I will not use a chain, rope or tether as a primary source of containment for my animals.
- Animal cruelty convictions will be investigated by the BOD. Such convictions may lead to the expulsion of that specific member from the organization.
Members' Mailing List Rules:
Violation of list rules may result in immediate removal of member from list for a period of 1 week on 1st offense, 1 month on 2nd offense and permanent removal upon 3rd offense.
- Misuse/abuse of membership privileges includes (but is not limited to) the practice of "collecting" or "harvesting" list member e-mail addresses and sending via private mail solicitations/advertisements or recruitment offers.
- Forms of personal advertising are not allowed. NWA may advertise to the NWA members, and animal rescue situations may be posted.
- There shall be no cross-posting of posts concerning NWA business to other lists or individuals.
- There shall be no carbon copy posting to non-members of posts addressed to the NWA's member list.
- There shall be no disparaging remarks or unfounded accusations that could be construed as slanderous or libelous against or about NWA or it's members (within this list or any other medium) without absolute proof .
- Please be respectful of others and be respectful of other's viewpoints.
